At Utopia
European Bakery Cafe, we offer the finest traditional, handcrafted
European cakes. Each is made with fresh, whole ingredients. They are
truly the best tasting cakes on the Central Coast.
We can
handcraft a cake for you from our photo album, or bring us your
sketch, photo or idea and we can work from that.
Wedding cakes
are priced per serving. Our serving size is approximately 2" x 4".
Cake designs are scaled to accommodate the number of servings that are
appropriate for your event.

Prices start
at $220.00 for a 3-tier cake. Prices for marzipan, gum paste flowers or
ornate decoration will be determined by design.
There will be
an additional charge if your cake design includes columns that are
visible between the layers of the cake. Prices vary by style and size.
A
non-refundable deposit is due at the time you place your order. No
dates will be saved and your order is not considered placed until the
deposit is received. Final payment is due one week prior to your
event.
Utopia Bakery
enjoys the highest reputation on the Central Coast. Most of our
wedding cakes are made for current Utopia customers or by referrals.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer cake tasting, but trust our reputation
to speak for itself.

Caring
for Your Wedding Cake
We provide the most beautiful
and delicious wedding cakes on the Central Coast and we hope the
following simple guidelines will ensure a magical and memorable
experience for all.
A cake needs to be kept below
70° F and out of direct sunlight. If you are expecting the ambient
temperature to be above 80° F, an alternate site for the cake should
be selected, preferably indoors with temperature control.
If your wedding site has no
indoor facilities, we will try to deliver the cake as close to the
reception starting time as possible. Guests may start arriving before
the cake is completely arranged, but this cannot be avoided if the
cake is to withstand the temperature and environment.
Cake tables should be set on
sturdy ground and leveled, if necessary, before the cake arrives.
Wedding cakes are not designed to be jostled when someone walks by,
the surface on which the cake table is set must be firm and
unyielding.
Please realize that when a
cake design is selected from our photo album, a book or a magazine, we
cannot guarantee an exact duplication of the cake. To us, an exact
duplicate of another bakers cake is a form of plagiarism. We will
adapt a style or design with our own design sensibilities.
Choosing a color is very
personal and we ask that you supply a sample of the color you wish us
to match. Please keep in mind that colorants that are safe to use in
food products are not the same as chemicals and dyes used on fabrics
and other non-food products. We will make every attempt to match your
sample. In most cases can match or come very, very close.
Transporting your cake from
the bakery to the wedding site is a delicate operation. Depending on
the location of your event, a small delivery fee may be charged.
